When you add someone in Contacts with at least one role and leave Send Email Invite to User ticked, Avaza emails them an invitation. It comes from Avaza Invitation (no-reply@mail.avaza.com) with the subject "Invitation to join Avaza from" and your company name. They click Accept Invite in it to get in. Team members and external contacts, such as a customer's staff, get the same invitation.

Check the invitation status

In Contacts, find the person on the Team or Company Contacts tab. The Invitation Status column shows:

  • Send Invite: no invitation has been sent yet. Click it, or Send Invitation in the row's ⋮ menu, to send one.
  • Resend: sent, but not accepted yet.
  • A green tick: accepted. They sign in at your account's web address.
  • Blank: the person has no roles, so Avaza doesn't invite them. Give them a role first.

The Pending invites quick filter lists everyone who hasn't accepted yet.

If it hasn't arrived

  1. Check the email address on their contact record. Only an Administrator can correct it for someone who has roles. When you save, Avaza sends a new invitation to the new address. See changing an email address.

  2. Ask them to check their spam, junk, All Mail and quarantine folders, and any email rules that move or delete Avaza emails.

  3. Ask them to add no-reply@mail.avaza.com to their contacts, or their IT team to allow the avaza.com and mail.avaza.com domains. See whitelisting Avaza emails.

  4. Resend the invitation: click Resend in their row, or Resend Invitation in the row's ⋮ menu.
Only the link in the newest email works. An older one shows "This invitation has expired."

Administrators, Finance Managers, Portfolio Managers and Project Managers can send and resend invitations.

Your teammate can ask for it again too: on your account's sign-in page, they click Forgot password? and enter their email address. Avaza shows "Your invitation has been resent!" and sends it again. See forgotten password.

Avaza can't show the invitation link in the app, so someone new to Avaza needs the email.

They already have an Avaza login

If the address already has an Avaza login, for example from another company's account, they confirm with that login instead of choosing a password. Or they simply sign in at your account's web address, and the invitation counts as accepted. See linking Avaza accounts to your email.

Still not arriving?

  • Daily email limit. Invitations count towards your account's daily email limit. At the limit, Avaza says "Your account has reached the daily email limit of …" and asks you to contact Avaza Support.
  • Licences. Invitations have no limit of their own, but a role that uses a licence won't save when your subscription has none left. See why can't I assign a role?.
  • A blocked address. Avaza's email service may stop sending to an address, for example after earlier emails to it bounced. Contact Avaza Support at support@avaza.com with the person's email address, and they'll look into it.
