Payoneer is built into Avaza as a native integration. Once your Payoneer account is connected and approved, customers can click Pay Now on an invoice and pay on Payoneer's payment page. Avaza records the payment against the invoice when Payoneer confirms it.

Unlike Stripe and PayPal, Payoneer has to approve the connection before you can offer it. The review can take several business days, so start before you need it.

Only Administrators and Finance Managers can set up online payments. For anyone else, Online Payments is greyed out on the Settings page.

Connect your Payoneer account

  1. Go to Settings › Online Payments, click Add and choose Payoneer.

  2. In Connect/Create your Payoneer account, tick I agree to Payoneer-Avaza Privacy Terms.

The link opens the terms. The buttons to connect only appear once the box is ticked.

  3. Choose whether to create a new Payoneer account or connect one you already have.

  4. Follow Payoneer's steps. To create an account, Payoneer asks for your details and verifies them.

  5. When you come back to Avaza, a page shows your Payoneer connection status. Click Return to Payment Providers list.

Wait for Payoneer's approval

Payoneer reviews new accounts and connections, and may email you to ask for more information. In Settings › Online Payments, Payoneer shows its status in brackets after its name. Click it to see where it's up to:

Status in the popup

What it means

Draft

Avaza hasn't heard that you finished with Payoneer. The popup has the links to continue.

Payoneer Registration Approval Pending

You've applied, and Payoneer is reviewing your application.

Payoneer Registration Approval Pending Billing Optin

Your account is connected, and Payoneer still has to approve its billing services for it.

Enabled

Approved. You can offer Payoneer.

If Payoneer approves your account straight away, the status page says so when you come back. Otherwise Avaza emails every Administrator and Finance Manager when Payoneer approves it. If Payoneer declines, the list shows Declined, and you can't offer Payoneer.

Switch Payoneer on in your invoice templates

Payoneer only appears in your templates once it's approved. Connecting doesn't switch it on for you.

  1. Go to Settings › Invoice & Bill Settings and scroll down to Invoice & Quote/Estimate Templates.

  2. Click a template, open its Online Payments tab, switch Payoneer on and click Save.

  3. Repeat for your other invoice templates, including any you create later.

What your customer sees

Your customer opens the online invoice and clicks Pay Now.

The online invoice for Fernleaf Media, with the Amount Due and the PDF and Pay Now buttons at the top

The popup shows the Amount Due and a Payment Amount, which they can lower to pay part of the invoice. In the Payoneer section, they click Pay Now and go to Payoneer's payment page, where they choose how to pay.

Payoneer only appears when it accepts the invoice's currency. Payoneer lists its payment methods and currencies on its payment request page.

When the payment is recorded

Once Payoneer confirms the payment, Avaza records it, applies it to the invoice and marks the invoice Paid or Partially Paid. This can happen some time after your customer pays. Administrators and Finance Managers who switch on Receive Payment Notifications in their User Profile get an email when it's recorded.

Payoneer's fee can be paid by you or by your customer. If your customer pays it, Avaza records the payment without the fee, so it matches the invoice. Agree with your customer who pays before you send the invoice. See Payoneer's pricing, and surcharges to pass fees on yourself.

Avaza doesn't pick up refunds you make in Payoneer. After a refund, take the payment off the invoice in Avaza: see partial payments.

Remove Payoneer

Switch Payoneer off in every invoice template, then click it in Settings › Online Payments and click Delete. Avaza won't delete it while a template still uses it.
