No. When you delete something in Avaza, such as a task, timesheet entry, invoice, contact or project, it's removed for good. Avaza has no recycle bin and no undo, and the Avaza support team can't restore deleted data either. Check before you delete, and use one of the options below when you only want something out of the way.

The Activity Feed (the lightning-bolt icon at the top of the page) can show who deleted a task or an invoice, and when. It doesn't bring the item back.

Deleted timesheet entries

When someone deletes a timesheet entry, Avaza keeps a read-only copy of it: the person, project, task, date, duration and notes, plus who deleted it and when. It's there so other systems that copy your timesheets, such as a payroll tool, can remove the entry too.

There's no screen for it in Avaza, and the entry can't be restored from it. An Admin can read it through the Avaza API or by asking an AI assistant connected through the Avaza MCP Server to list deleted timesheets. You can then enter the time again. Time removed with a whole project isn't kept.

What to do instead of deleting

  • Archive projects. On the Projects page, open the project's ⋮ menu and choose Archive. The project moves to the Archived tab with its tasks, time and expenses, and Restore from Archive brings it back. Administrators can archive and restore any project, and Portfolio Managers and Project Managers the projects they're members of. You can only delete a project once it's archived, and Avaza won't delete one with invoiced time, expenses or fixed amounts. See archiving a project.
  • Archive people. In Contacts, open the person's ⋮ menu on the Team or Company Contacts tab and choose Archive. This removes their roles and project access but keeps their timesheets and expenses. Restore on the Archived tab brings them back, and you then give them their roles and project access again. Only Administrators can archive and restore people. Avaza won't delete someone who has timesheets, expenses or tasks. See deactivating and archiving users.
  • Void invoices. Open the invoice, click ⋮ and choose Void Invoice. The invoice stays on record with a Void status and a zero total. Administrators and Finance Managers can void an invoice until a payment or credit note is applied to it.
  • Export first. Before you delete records you might need later, run the matching export from the Exports group in Reports, such as Timesheet Entries or Expense Export, and save the file. Only Administrators see the exports. See how to export data.
