The App Marketplace lists apps that connect to Avaza or add to what it does, such as Avaza's native integrations with Xero, QuickBooks Online and GitHub. You connect them, manage their settings and disconnect them here.

Go to Settings › App Marketplace. The page is called Marketplace Apps. Administrators, Finance Managers, Portfolio Managers and Project Managers can open Settings.

Find an app

The menu on the left has:

  • Connected Apps: the apps connected in your account.
  • Featured: the page opens here.
  • Categories, such as accounting apps.
  • Additional Options: for Administrators only (see below).
The Featured page of Marketplace Apps, with the left menu (Connected Apps, Featured, the categories and Additional Options) and app cards for Xero, Avaza Chat App, Avaza Unified Team Work, Insightly, Salesforce, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Dropbox, Google Calendar, Stripe, PayPal, GitHub, viaSocket and QuickBooks. The Xero, GitHub and QuickBooks cards are marked Connected

On a phone, a drop-down list replaces the menu. Click an app's card to open its details: a description, and often its Benefits and Requirements. Cards of apps you've connected are marked Connected.

Connect an app

  1. Open the app and click Connect.

The Xero app popup on its Details tab, with the Connect button at the top right and the list of invoice, bill and payment workflows it syncs
  2. The popup opens the app's Settings tab, where Avaza asks whether to grant the app access to your account and lists what it will be able to do. Click Grant Access to Avaza, or Deny access to Avaza to cancel.

  3. The app's own settings then appear in the same tab. Finish the setup there, for example by connecting your Xero organisation.

To change an app's settings later, open it from Connected Apps and go to its Settings tab.

Some listings don't connect: they point to more information, with a Learn More button instead of Connect.

Who can connect: some apps connect for the whole account. Only Administrators can connect or disconnect those, unless the app allows other roles. Other apps connect for one person: each user connects their own, and it appears under their own Connected Apps. If your role isn't allowed, Avaza says "You don't have the required security role(s) to install this app."

Disconnect an app

Open the app and click Disconnect. This removes the app's access to Avaza and its webhook notifications: for the whole account if it's an account-wide app, or just for you if you connected it for yourself. Disconnecting doesn't delete any data in Avaza.

Show integrations on tasks

Some integrations, such as GitHub, can show their links on tasks. Administrators choose who sees them:

  1. In Settings › App Marketplace, click Additional Options.

  2. Switch on Display Task Integrations. The task popup then has a Task Integrations tab (the plug icon), which lists a task's integration links.

Additional Options in the App Marketplace, with the Display Task Integrations switch, shown here switched off
  3. Tick the roles that can see the tab: Portfolio Manager, Project Manager, Project Collaborator (Team Member) and Project Collaborator (External Contact). Administrators always see it.

Changes save as soon as you make them.

Other ways to connect Avaza

Built an app that works with Avaza and want it listed in the Marketplace? Contact Avaza support. Avaza reviews each request. To let other Avaza accounts connect your app without a listing, see OAuth 2.0 for the Avaza API.
