Custom views let you save the way you like to look at a list, such as "My overdue tasks" or "Client review board", and come back to it with one click. Each view remembers its filters, columns, sorting and grouping, and settings such as the Gantt zoom level or whether subtasks are expanded. Views can be personal, or shared with everyone who uses the page.
Where you'll find them
Custom views are on these pages:
- Tasks: a project's task page, My Tasks and All Tasks. Views on a project's task page appear on every project. My Tasks views are always personal.
- All Projects: the projects list, board and Gantt, and archived projects.
- Contacts: the Team, Companies, Company Contacts and Archived tabs, and the tabs on a company's own page.
- Team Schedule.
- Expenses: the Expenses, Approvals and Reimbursements tabs. See custom views in expenses.
How views work
Each view is a tab in the view bar at the top of the page. Click a tab to switch to it. Views that don't fit are under More, together with Add view… and Manage views….

- Change a view with the toolbar: add a filter, choose columns with Fields, or change the grouping or sort. The tab then has unsaved changes. Active filters show as chips next to Filter: click a chip to change it, or the × on it to remove it.
- Keep the changes with Update. The arrow next to it has Discard and Save as New. On a shared view that someone else created, the button is Save as New, so their view stays as it is.
- Add a view with Add view…. Give it a View name and choose Who can see this view: Personal or Shared. Anyone who uses the page can share a view.
- Rename, duplicate, share or delete a view by right-clicking its tab, or reorder your tabs in Manage views…. Only the person who created a view can rename, share or delete it, and an Administrator can also do this for shared views. Your last personal view on a page can't be deleted.
- Hide a view you don't use, such as a colleague's shared view, from the same right-click menu. It disappears from your tab bar only. Show it again with the eye icon in Manage views….
